2013 MLK JR Day of Service – 5th Annual Nickerson Canal Litter Pick-up
- Where: North corner of Fremont PCC
- When: Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. Noon.
- Details: Here is info on why we serve.The day was sunny but brisk! Staggered arrival was steady and people trickled in and out. Mighty O Donuts available once more. Some of my business flyers, just in case the volunteers lived under roofs they wanted Solarized!
2012 MLK JR Day of Service – 4th Annual Nickerson Canal Litter Pick-up
- Where: Meet the group at the North corner of Fremont PCC
- When: Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. Noon.
- Details: You will get free “Mighty-O donuts“, a location assignment, a small cardboard box for litter collection, and disposable purple gloves. Fremont neighbors and their friends will clean up along our canal. Trash makes it to the waterway via the storm drain system.

Unusual finds have been: a computer monitor, a mattress, and a floating key chain with tracking number so we were able to return to the owner.
